Barlow Road Ride 2013
August 17 - 18, 2013 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
A good training ride for Cycle Oregon, Barlow offers a two-day out-and-back century from the end of the Oregon Trail in Oregon City to Government Camp, with an optional trip up the West Leg Trail to Timberline Lodge. The Trail Boss route is the main two-day ride, with the first day 50 miles uphill to Government Camp (4,500 feet gain) for dinner at the Cascade Ski Lodge. See the lodging page of the Barlow Road Ride website for Saturday night hotel and camping options, as well as a great party with fun music and food.
Day two is 50 miles of downhill, finishing around noon. The Pioneer route starts in Sandy with only 25 miles the first day. A Junior/Senior route starts on Sunday in Government Camp for a downhill ride to Oregon City.
