A big ride with three distance options – a full century, a metric century or the 43-mile route, all in the beautiful coastal range southwest of Eugene. Rest stops with food, water, mechanics on site, SAG wagon support on all routes, and more. A special blackberry pie & ice cream treat at the end of the ride. Registration is $25 for early registrants, $30 until pre-registration closes and $35 for day-of-event registrants for each of these rides. GEARs members get a $10 discount on these rides.
Full 100-mi. century starts 7-9 a.m.; metric century and 43-miler start 8-10 a.m. All routes will close at 4 p.m.
Presented by GEARs Education and sponsored by many community businesses and organizations. Proceeds from the rides will be used for the bicycle education program in local schools conducted by GEARs Education and the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.
The starting point is at the Eugene Water & Electric Board’s plaza, on the Willamette River (500 East 4th Street, next to the Ferry Street Bridge). If traveling on I-5, take Exit 194 to travel west on I-105, then take Exit 2 (U of O, then Downtown to Coburg Road). Cross the green bridge. Turn right onto 3rd and left onto Mill, then left onto 4th.
Don’t miss the blackberry pie and ice cream at the end!
