Blue Mountain Century (Heppner)
September 17 - 18, 2016
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

The ride officially begins in Ukiah, but a shuttle will leave from Heppner Saturday morning; see the website for more details.
Join us, September 17 & 18, 2016 for the annual Blue Mountain Century ride! The registration form and waivers are available on the website. Please contact Heppner Chamber at 541-676-5536 to guarantee a spot as we will be limiting the ride to 50 riders this year!
The Blue Mountain Century Bikeway is a scenic loop of approximately 108 miles starting and ending in Heppner. The route initially follows the Blue Mt. Scenic Byway east through the Blue Mts. to Hwy 395. It then travels north from forest to rangelands to Nye Junction, and west through eastern Oregon’s rolling hills to Heppner.
Although the ride is not a fully supported event, the local bikeways committee wants to make sure that you have a great experience in our community, so we will be doing what we can to make it so! We will be arranging for meals and water stops and will arrange for community volunteers to deliver your needed items from one location to another. We will be providing a SAG Wagon to support you along the route!
We will be starting the official ride in Ukiah, so the “caravan from Heppner” will leave around 8 a.m. on Saturday and the ride will end on Saturday night in Heppner with a great BBQ meal! Sunday morning the ride will begin in Heppner and end in Ukiah with transportation back for those who are parked in Heppner and don’t want to “ride” back.
