Bonnie’s Absolute Beginner MTB Clinic (Bend)
June 24 - 25, 2017 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Are you very new to mountain biking, or want to learn the basics? Want to learn safe riding body positions, more about your bike, the best way to brake, shifting techniques, how to climb more efficiently, descending safely on smooth or rough surfaces, how to make that corner without slipping out, tackling easy switchbacks? If so join us!
Bonnie Phippen, Grit Clinics Coach for past 6 years, will be your coach and she cannot wait to help anyone interested! If the clinic gets enough sign-ups we may add space and another coach.
Attendee limit: 7 riders (unless more sign-up, we may add another coach and another 7 riders)
Bring a well-maintained, tuned mountain bike, and your own light lunch or snack for a short break. Heavy rain postpones clinic to another date.
Reminder: this clinic is only for those new to mountain biking, not a refresher course for the somewhat experienced!
Don’t have a bike yet? Rent one from Pine Mountain Sports or Sunnyside!
