Why others should attend this event
Get ready to clip-in and traverse the magnificent volcanic vistas and deep forests of the Cascade Region. This tour flows through a visual playground of distant peaks and a multitude of sensory milieus: from the mystical forests of the Western Cascades to the sunny and windswept high deserts within the rain shadow region.
You’ll explore the Columbia Gorge, cruising across the mighty river with the sleeping giant of Mount Hood greeting you at every turn. In Bend, Oregon, you’ll have a chance to quench your thirst for whitewater on the Deschutes River, or for locally brewed libations at the Deschutes Brewing Company. With your spirits refreshed, we’ll spin into the Deschutes National Forest where you’ll enjoy cycling through its stately Ponderosa pines. Next, we’ll ride back into the Western Cascades region welcomed by beautiful, high-mountain lakes and the crisp rush of thundering mountain streams. Then, finally, our 11-day Cascadian adventure will come to a close on the shores of the deep blue pureness that is Crater Lake.
