About the Wine Rides:
Join Bike Gallery on one of our popular wine rides, featuring quiet, rural roads, acclaimed northern Willamette Valley wineries, and 100% benefiting the Children’s Heart Foundation.
Rides are 30-40 miles with rolling hills.
Route
We will meet at the winery between 8-8:30 am; the ride will start at 9 am. The route is approximately 38 miles long and includes several rolling hills. The final 3 miles up to the winery is a gain of approximately 750 vertical feet and is the hardest hill of the ride. We will head out of the winery and ride toward Lafayette, Carlton and Yamhill and then back to the winery. The course has been designed for the best ride possible; however, we will be crossing and riding short sections of Highway 240 and a very short section of Highway 99 (3 blocks). There will be a rest stop at the midpoint of the ride and some roving support.
After the Ride
We will finish the ride with wine tasting and a catered lunch at Vista Hills Winery.
Driving directions from Portland
Take I-5 south, then take exit 294 for 99W to Tigard/Newberg. Follow 99W through Tigard, Sherwood, Newberg and Dundee. About 3 miles past the town of Dundee, look for a weigh station on your right. Turn right onto McDougall Road at the far end of the weigh station. Take the first right onto Breyman Orchards Road. Follow Breyman Orchards Road up the hill for 2 miles. Near the top, turn left at Hilltop Lane, and follow the paved road until you see the Vista Hills Vineyard sign. You will take a gentle right into the Vista Hills driveway and see parking directly ahead.
