Stay Safe

In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

The Rotary Club of Cottage Grove is hosting the 6th annual Cycle the Lakes Bike Ride in Cottage Grove. Join us on September 17, 2016, in one of the most stunning scenic cycling venues in Oregon. Check the Information menu on our website for details about times, routes, parking, and lodging.

Whether you choose a 32, 42, 67, 77, or 102 mile ride, you won’t be disappointed by the surroundings. Gaze upon picture-perfect views of Dorena Lake, Cottage Grove Lake, and multiple rivers and streams while basking in beautiful September weather. Moderate hills give you the opportunity for a variety of picturesque views.

All routes include the nationally renowned 16-mile Row River Trail. The routes also include a major portion of the Covered Bridges Scenic Bikeway – one of the select bike routes in Oregon chosen for the Oregon Parks and Recreation’s Scenic Bikeway program.

Discover why Cottage Grove is the covered bridge capitol of Oregon as you breeze by covered bridges dating from the early 20th century. Riders will start at Bohemia Park at 10th & Madison in the heart of historic Cottage Grove. Snack stations will be available along the route with delicious All-American apple pie a la mode waiting for you at the finish. Don’t miss out on the region’s premier bike ride.
