Stay Safe

In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

You know the drill: Bikes, beer and bonfires. Yes indeed, folks, it’s time for Fall Barbie Camp!

Please join the Disciples of Dirt for a fun-filled weekend of riding, camping, eating and drinking over on the east side in sunny Sisters, OR.

There will be group rides both days. A lot of us will be shuttling Trail 99 on Saturday but there are all kinds of ride options in the area, including the Peterson Ridge network, Smith Rocks and the trails in Bend. If you aren’t arriving until Saturday morning, plan to be there by 9:30 am.

Saturday night will be a potluck dinner (where the food is always amazing), and there will be beer provided by one of our awesome beer sponsors. Afterwards we’ll hang out and socialize around the usual giant bonfire. The DOD branding irons will be there so if you have any items you want branded, bring ‘em.

The old campsite on Lake Creek near Camp Sherman, the traditional location for Fall Barbie Camp, has now been blocked off. Henceforth Fall BC will be held at the SAME LOCATION AS SPRING BARBIE CAMP—closer to Sisters on Whychus Creek.

We will be in a dispersed campsite with no picnic tables or drinking water … although DOD will arrange for a port-a-potty. So bring a warm sleeping bag, a drinking mug, and your camp chair for hanging out around the fire, and get ready for a good time!

More Information: check the forum closer to the date for more details and chatter about this event.
