DOD Trail Work: King-Castle Trail (Sisters)
November 18 - 20, 2016 at 9:00 am
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

One of the crown jewels of the Mckenzie River area trails, King/Castle Rock trails are in need of some help. This has turned into a three-day event! Friday and Saturday will be work days, and Sunday (weather permitting) will be a ride day, featuring shuttle runs on one of the area trails (to be determined) and demo bikes from L.I.V. Camping and a limited supply of rooms will be available at Horse Creek Lodge, along with some lovely meals throughout the weekend.
Important: Please wear appropriate clothing on trailwork days, to include a hard hat (bicycle helmets are not acceptable—the club can provide a hard hat), long-sleeved shirt, pants, gloves, sturdy boots and eye protection.
