DOD Wednesday Night Ride (Lorane; every Wednesday)
April 12, 2017 at 6:00 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

The DOD Wednesday night ride is a long-standing tradition. More organic than organized, the typical ride will be held at Whypass with early riders leaving around 6:00 p.m. from the Pile. After a brisk paced hour or more of power, riders return to the Yellow Gate at 7 p.m. (note: this used to be 7:30) to meet up with late comers for the more socially-paced segment of the evening. In the summer, the ride location may change to Goodman Creek, King Castle, or other local trails.
Check for a specific dated post on the Rides Forum, or if you don’t see one, post up yourself to find out who’s going and what this week’s plan is.
