Fancy Scarf Bike Ride & Scavenger Hunt (Portland)
February 7, 2016 at 12:45 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Don a fancy scarf and go on a statue/public art scavenger hunt with the Museum Lady, Carye Bye. Prizes will be given out by the Museum Lady to those with the most fabulous fancy scarves, so don’t forget yours. From noon to 1:00 we’ll be at Tinys. Feel free to grab lunch and chill before we head out on The Great Fancy Scarfing of 2016. There will be a couple dozen statues/statue groups to find. As a group we’ll get clues and go out around inner NE-SE and downtown Portland searching out our naked and need-of-fancy-friends; we’ll provide each with a fancy scarf from the Museum Lady’s collection. At each spot the Museum Lady will share some info about the public art and any other know-it-alls can add a story or two.
