Filmed by Bike is a film festival that shows an incredible mix of bicycle movies that are super-short — 8 minutes or less. Movies come from around the world, but the festival happens only here in Portland. This year’s festival includes a diverse collection of film styles covering a fresh array of topics.

The New Belgium Opening Night Street Party on April 16 is one of the hotly anticipated special features of the festival every year. Filmed by Bike opens up the street in front of the theater for a gigantic party, a beer garden, live entertainment, dance troupes, DJs and more. The Street Party is open from 5:30 – 11 p.m. and DJ Anjali + Incredible Kid will be spinning Bhangra and Bollywood beats from 8 – 10 p.m. The movies play at 7, 9 and 11 p.m. and they usually sell out, so purchasing advance tickets is suggested (advance tickets for the 9 p.m. show have already sold out).
