Stay Safe

In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

This tour takes our guests to some favorite local haunts for a taste of Portland’s delectable food carts. We’ll eat and ride in a few of Portland’s most scenic neighborhoods including the Portland Waterfront, Sunnyside, and the Hawthorne District.

Our first stop is a pod of carts located just across the river at 12th and Hawthorne. Not only is this pod the first food cart pod to appear in Portland, but it is consistently popular having such great carts as Wiffies, Potato Champion and La Perriera Creperie.

Our second stop takes us further east through the lovely Sunnyside neighborhood on to Good Food Here a food cart pod somewhat off the beaten path. Favorites here include Fifty Licks Ice Cream, the Fishbox, Viking Soul Food, and The Honey Pot.

The next two pod stops include a couple of hidden gems just outside of the scenic Laurelhurst neighborhood. After that we’ll cross the Willamette River once more as we wind our way into the heart of downtown for a stop at the biggest food cart pod in town at 10th and Alder. With forty or so carts to choose from, we’re sure you’ll find something you like here.

A mostly downhill ride of less than a mile will take us back to the shop for the conclusion of our tour. Don’t worry! With over 600 food carts to choose from, there’s plenty more to try!
