The Fremont National Recreation Trail: never heard of it? Most people haven’t, and fewer have ridden it.

The Fremont National Forest has exquisite old-growth Ponderosa groves, pristine alpine meadows and rock cliffs offering incredible views of Eastern Oregon high desert.

The trail is 185+ miles long, and is the perfect setting for three epic days of mountain biking.
Cog Wild’s point-to-point tour includes full days in the saddle, riding primitive single-track and a small amount of fire road through the Fremont National Forest. Hours of research and trail work have taken place to make this tour possible: a huge forest fire in 2002 ruined 50% of the trails, and hundreds of hours of trail work have been spent to re-establish them. Cog guides have since spent years researching routes to design a dream epic trip in the wild Fremont. Many of the trails we will ride are not found on maps – the only way to experience serious single-track bliss in the Fremont is with Cog Wild. Join us for the first annual Cog in Fremont trip for some epic riding and serious fun!
