Grinch Singalong Ride to Peacock Lane (Portland)
December 18, 2016 from 5:45 pm - 7:30 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Esteemed citizens of Whoville! As you know, 12/18/2016 at 6 p.m. is the 50th anniversary of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas TV special. To celebrate, we’ll be watching (and singing along) to the exact minute 50 years later.
Watch the TV classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” on the exact 50th anniversary of its 6 pm telecast on CBS in 1966. The viewing area for the projected screening will be the covered lot just South of the Oregon Rail Heritage Center. Then take a three-mile ride along the Clinton St. and 45th Ave. bikeways to see the holiday lights at Peacock Lane — Portland’s Christmas Street. Everyone gets a nicely printed script of this 25-minute TV special with dialog and song lyrics. Green and red attire is encouraged!
