Hutch’s Ladies-Only Road Bike Ride (Bend)
July 16, 2016 at 9:00 am
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Where: Meet at Hutch’s Eastside Store at 820 NE 3rd St. Bend. If you are driving to Hutch’s, please park on surrounding side streets rather than in their parking lot.
Details: We will ride the Brasada Ranch-Alfalfa Market Loop.
We aim to be back to Hutch’s by between 12:30 to 1:00pm, depending on the distance of the route we are riding. There are no guarantees about return time as this is a no-drop ride, and the group will stop to fix flats, take bathroom breaks, and re-group at major turns (or as needed) on the route.
Plan for ride routes between 30-45 miles. The pace generally hovers in the 14-18 mph range, faster than a recreational cruise, but almost always conversational pace. Pace slows for climbs and windy conditions. Be prepared for hilly and flat riding.
We will assist you with flat tires that occur on route but you should carry a spare inner tube, flat tire repair tools, and a CO2 cartridge or pump.
