Immigration Ride (Portland)
August 6, 2016 at 7:00 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Come to this bike ride if you are an immigrant or if you support immigrants and want to keep the doors of this country open to immigrants. Because, think about it: unless you’re fully native American, someone in your family came to this country as an immigrant. This country is MADE of immigrants, and it needs immigrants to flourish! Let’s celebrate immigrants and immigration!
The ride will meet at 7 pm at Fubonn. If you want to pick up some groceries, you might want to get there earlier, because we roll at 7:30 pm. We’ll ride over to the Portland Mercado and grab a bite there. And then we’ll head to The Goodfoot, where DJ Anjali and The Incredible Kid will be hosting Tropitaal, their Desi/Latino mashup. Come hungry and come with your dance on!
