Into The Woods – The Maddax Woods (Portland)
December 27, 2015 at 3:30 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Take a ride down the Trolley Trail to the Maddax Woods to see the holiday lights in the woods, and 36 different animal figurines but no Big Bad Wolf! Then ride up the Oregon City Municipal Elevator for a birds-eye view of the holiday lights in downtown Oregon City. About 75% of this 22-mile out-and-back ride will be on paved, dedicated bike path. Also along the route wood artwork on the Trolley Trail, a 60-foot Statue of Liberty, the Flying A Station, High Rocks Park, End of the Oregon Trail, and the restored Oregon City/West Linn bridge. Santa also has a late holiday gift for all riders – a pair of magic glasses that reveal the Maddax holiday lights in a whole new way!
