Jackson’s Ride the Gorge is an incredible opportunity to see the Columbia River Gorge the very best way possible: on your bike, with extensive, pampering support. The Columbia River Gorge is such a unique area that we are fortunate to have as part of the Oregon landscape, and on this ride you’ll immerse yourself deeply into the Gorge. There are three distance options, and each one provides sweeping views of the Gorge and plenty of scenic vistas that are perfect for stopping to rest and take pictures. This area is specially protected as a National Scenic Area and a perfect place to explore by bike.
This ride is quickly gaining popularity as the best ride in the Columbia River Gorge region for its top-notch support. The day starts off with breakfast and strong coffee; frequent rest stops feature plenty of treats and hearty lunch along the way in gorgeous locations. The finish line party takes place at the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum in Hood River, and your ride pass gets you free admission to the museum. After a long day of riding the challenges of the course, you’ll be treated to a delightful gourmet bar-b-que with fresh-from-the-grill seasonal veggies, grilled options, salads and dessert. Hood River-based Full Sail Brewing is serving up frothy cool beers to help you wind down from the ride as live music plays.
This is a day you don’t want to miss! Jackson’s Ride the Gorge is a fundraising ride to support the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation. The ride was started to honor the vibrant legacy of Jackson Hill, a young boy who passed away from sarcoma, a form of cancer. Jackson loved the Columbia River Gorge and riding his bike, and his parents formed this ride to raise awareness and funds for the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation.
