Light Up The Coast – Global Fat Bike Ride
December 3, 2016 from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

South Coast Bicycles is located on the North Side of Highway 101. We are just before the hill going down into Old Town if coming from the North.
Riders can also meet us at South Jetty Parking LotJoin South Coast Bicycles as we celebrate Global Fat Bike Day on our own “Oregon Snow”…. at the beach!
Meet at the shop at 5:30 p.m. to ride from there or meet us before 6 p.m. at the South Jetty parking lot in Bandon. Ride will start at Jetty at 6 p.m. and head south on the coast/sand following the low tide.
Fat tire bikes and lights required! Sun sets at 5 p.m., so it will be dark. Feel free to get creative with your choice of lighting (’tis the season!)
This is a beach ride after dark, so dress/gear-up accordingly. Don’t forget your lights! All ages welcome!
