Stay Safe

In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

The second annual Mid-Valley Bicycle Club Mini Loop Tour (www.minilooptour.org) will take place Thursday, July 14th through Sunday, July 17th, 2016.

The Mini Loop is a four-day bicycle camping tour aimed at families and individuals who want to participate in a touring event along small roads and through beautiful country, but with limited duration and only moderate cycling challenge. Gear and equipment SAG is provided for all riders, and routes are typically 30-40 miles per day.

Sign up online early! The Mini Loop Tour is open to current MVBC members only, and participation is limited. There is no mail-in registration option. If you are not already an MVBC member, it is easy to become one. Please go to join.mvbc.com. Everyone is welcome.

This year, the Mini Loop Tour will repeat the excellent 2015 course. The ride will START in Buena Vista and FINISH in Corvallis. Check out the 2016 Route Announcement, and review the 2016 Mini Loop Tour Route Map, for a taste of what’s to come.

For general background and information, please consult the Participants Guide at guide.minilooptour.org. For specifics on this year’s event, process & policies, please see the Annual Info Notice at info.minilooptour.org. A great deal of additional Mini Loop Tour information may be found at references.minilooptour.org.

This event joins the company of other MVBC Tours that have been running since the mid-1970s (see events.mvbc.com).
