Stay Safe

In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Riding Distance: 50 – 75 miles over the three-day vacation.

Elevation: 1,200-6,500 feet

After going over the many options, we’ll get right on the trails by either riding from camp or taking a shuttle or two. Expect some steep climbs, heavenly forested traverses, tight switchbacks, and brake searing descents leading you back to camp. Your guide will show you the camp kitchen for everyone to cook their own meals to be enjoyed with a round of Deschutes Brewery beers or opt for a short drive to Brewers Union Local 180 in Oakridge for dinner.

Mileage: 12-20 miles.

The second day takes you to the crown jewel in the Oakridge castle of gems—Alpine Trail. We will discuss the many options and lengths for this ride: You can shuttle it, loop it, or add more to it to get over a 30-mile ride, if desired. We’ll designate a local swimming hole or drinking spot as our meeting destination to end your ride. After being shuttled back to camp, you can cook up your dinner or hit another local establishment in Oakridge for nourishment. We’ll get the campfire going to end the evening under the stars.

Mileage: 20-35 miles

Since we haven’t even scratched the surface, we have tons of options for the last day. We’ll see what you are up for and decide between twisty river trails, more elevation dropping descents or classic trails that wind through the dark forests. We’ll start the day by breaking down camp and moving cars to the end of the trail in case you need to hit the road once the ride is over. Those who drove with Cog Wild from Bend will enjoy relaxing in the van on our return drive.

Mileage: Varies
