Origami Ride (Portland)
August 26, 2016 at 7:00 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Join the fun as we take the path of least resistance and tread lightly upon the small roads and paths of Portland. Although folders are encouraged, all bikes, all riders and contortionists are welcomed. We’ll meet up at Laurelhurst Park (by the restrooms on SE Ankeny) 7pm and roll out 7:30 for a loosely structured, chill-paced 10+ mile loop around town with a stop for food and refreshments. We don’t want to leave anyone behind, so be sure to bring, spare tubes, tools, lights and a positive attitude.
“The mind is a wonderful thing. You start off on one journey but it decides to take you somewhere completely different. The path of least resistance is the way to go. Don’t fight it; enjoy the ride.”
