PWTC Early Morning Two Hill Ride (Portland; every Friday)
July 15, 2016 at 7:30 am
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Distance 24 miles. This little ride wakes you up and gets you out early so that you have the rest of the day to yourself! We’ll start and end at my house, with coffee and pastries at the finish. If you would, please let me know you’re planning to do the ride so I know how much to order. We work our way to 134th and Foster without cycling on the Springwater Corridor (which is less than desirable of late). We then take the covered bridge and climb Deardorf Rd to the side of Mt. Scott, head down to Clackamas/Sunnyside Rd and take 92nd and the I-205 bike path to Mt. Tabor. From the top of Tabor, it’s less than 6 miles back to the start where hot coffee and goodies await. The ride is non-group, but we will regroup at the top of each hill. If this ride is popular, I’ll offer it again on a weekday in August. Ride Terrain: B/C. Ride Pace: Leisurely/Moderate. Ride Leader: Cindy Bernert-Coppola, 503-781-1822, email@example.com
