PWTC Willy Wonka “Shiny Bits” Tour (Portland)
October 5, 2016 at 9:30 am
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Ride departs at 9:30 a.m. from Wilshire Park. Spin up and over the Willamette via the St John’s bridge to the NW Industrial region. Our destination for this outing is the King (yes, that King) Precision Components manufacturing facility. Upon our intrepid group’s arrival, we will be the fortunate recipients of a guided tour of this iconic brand’s facility. Beverage / snack stop will be determined on the road. Ride pace will be dictated by a 10:15 a.m. facility tour start time. Ride leader is Chip Kyle, email firstname.lastname@example.org, 503-387-3940.
