Stay Safe

In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Portland Wheelmen Touring Club 25-40 mile ride. Leave at 6:00 pm from Tualatin City Park at Tualatin and Boones Ferry Roads in Tualatin. Get out of the urban jungle on a different route each week. We ride varied terrain in Washington, Clackamas, Yamhill and Marion counties. Most rides include a hill or two, with distance and difficulty chosen to match weather conditions and hours of daylight. Non-group rides. Most rides are level C/D and include high-speed pack riding. Show up by 5:30 or 5:45 to get a head start with a less intense group.

  1. I would like to ride with the Tues. night west side group out of Tualatin. I am new to OR. I am experienced and safe. I am looking for a spirited ride as I have been cruising the west hill sand beyond alone thus far… can I show up for the Tuesday ride? Or, do I have to ride one of your welcome rides?

  2. As a PWTC member and a regular on the Tues/Thurs Eastside Wheelmen rides, I say absolutely, you should join. The rides are open to anyone who is willing to try them, and it sounds like you’re a great candidate.
