Ride the Heart of the Valley
April 29, 2017 from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Magruder Hall Horse Arena. Join us for a beautiful spring bike ride at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine! Ride the Heart of the Valley is an annual charity bike ride benefiting the Johnson Dental Clinic at the Corvallis Boys and Girls Club and the Olive K. Britt Endowment for Emergency Animal Care at OSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Each year, the ride promotes AVMA’s One Health Challenge through community education during the ride, and this year’s theme is wildlife reservoirs of zoonotic diseases. We offer three bike routes: 12 miles, 30 miles, and 62 miles, and a 5K dog jog/walk (please bring dogs on a leash!) with the start and finish located at the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine Horse Arena. Lunch provided after the ride. For more information and registration, please visit our website: http://ridetheheart.weebly.com.
