Women Bike Rain Love Ride (Portland)
February 20, 2016 at 10:00 am
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services works to manage storm water in a variety of ways. On this ride we will visit some of the more aesthetic ways stormwater is managed in Portland, stopping to admire ecoroofs, rain gardens and bioswales, plus we’ll learn how these methods help improve bicycle paths in our neighborhoods.
We will ride at a comfortable talking pace for the group. Please dress appropriately for the ride, and bring water and snacks. We will conclude our ride at Hair of the Dog Brewery at 61 SE Yamhill St.
This ride is open to all women, female-identifying, trans, and gender-nonconforming people who enjoy biking (or think they might).
