Baker City Bike Hostel
Bike Friendly Business
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.Get directions on Google Maps

We are primarily a cyclist oriented hostel, but welcome all adventure travelers – rent a bunk, camp in the yard or pop in for a shower & power boost. A great place to stop whether traveling the Transamerica Bike Route or as base camp for exploring the beautiful road and mountain bike offerings in Eastern Oregon.
Baker County is a cyclist paradise with three Oregon Scenic Byways and is home to the Baker City Cycling Classic, a 3-day, 4-stage race in town and the nearby Elkhorn Mountains. If you’ re looking for dirt, Baker County has some of the best undiscovered mountain bike trails in the state. For the more casual rider, tooling around town is flat and fun, check out the over 100 registered historic buildings, sample award-winning beer and tasty eats at a variety of restaurants. Stay in a 100 year old mill house, combining the charm of the last century with modern updates. There are bunks in the main room, a queen bed in a semi- private room and with plenty of camp spots amidst the mature trees – you’re sure to find a place to rest your head.
Refresh with your choice of indoor/outdoor showers and onsite laundry facilities. Refuel with multiple cooking options: inside kitchen, outside kitchenette or BBQ and charge up those devices with individual USB charging stations. Enjoy fresh veggies from the garden and u-pick cherries and apricots – depending on what’s in season and abundant.
Shower, Power and Laundry rest stop $10, tent camping is $20 per night and hostel beds are $25 per person.
Bike season is from April through October, payment options cash and credit cards.
