Blue Pool Campground
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Blue Pool Campground is located approximately 9 miles east Oakridge at an elevation 1,900 feet. This campground has 25 sites with trailer space, tables and fire rings. Potable water and toilets are available.
This campground is located in an old growth forest alongside Salt Creek. Fishing and swimming are popular activities. There is a large picnic area along the creek with fire stoves (built in the 1930′s by the Civilian Conservation Corps), picnic tables and a large grassy area for playing volleyball. One half mile east of the campground on Hwy. 58 is McCredie Hot Springs. This spot has a history of resorts and spas, but currently is undeveloped without any facilities.
