Every country in the world has its beloved version of sweetened fried dough. With Blue Star, not only do we want to embrace that tradition, but we want to turn it loose and see where it can go! After traveling to the refined, elegant patisseries of Europe, we were inspired to elevate the humble donut beyond its roots. Our team works hard on our recipes and takes enormous pride in tediously crafting them from scratch – and if our donuts bring a smile to your face and a sigh to your tastebuds, it’s all worth it.
Our donuts are made from a classic brioche recipe that originated in the south of France. The dough takes 18 hours to make and is made from scratch every day; we start with a sustainable bread flour from Shepherds Grain, add cage free eggs, whole hormone-free milk, and then fold in a European-style butter. Our donuts, glazes, and fillings are made fresh throughout the day, and we only cook our donuts in rice oil. Selections change daily and sell out quickly.
