Larison Cove Canoe-in Campground
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Larison Cove Canoe-in Campground is located approximately 3 miles from Oakridge on the Larison Arm of Hills Creek Reservoir at an elevation of 1,600 feet. This campground has 4 tent only sites with fire rings and a boat dock. There are no toilets and no potable water.
This campground is located on the south side of Larison Cove on Hills Creek Reservoir. Larison Cove Canoe Area prohibits motorized boats. Larison Cove is about 1 1/2 miles long and 300 yards wide. This short distance makes the paddle ideal for families with small children. These sites are isolated from the main reservoir and roads giving the user a feeling of peace and quiet while visiting the area. Located on the opposite shore (north) is the trailhead for Larison Creek Trail. This scenic trail follows the cove and Larison Creek for approximately 6 miles.
