Little Log Church Museum
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. In downtown Yachats, find the historic Little Log Church Museum. Built by community volunteers with local timber hauled down the Yachats River, The Little Log Church was completed and dedicated in 1930. The church and property was sold to the Oregon Historical Society in 1969 when the congregation out grew this site. It became a museum in 1970 and was deeded to the city in 1986. The Little Log Church Museum houses settler exhibits, an extensive shell collection, and works of local artists and authors. It is staffed by volunteers and open to visitors daily except Thursday. The charming building is also available for rent to private parties for weddings and receptions.
