Lompoc Brewing – Lompoc Tavern
In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit tripcheck.com, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. The Lompoc Tavern on NW 23rd Ave. is the newest – and oldest – member of the Lompoc family of pubs. We’ve been in this same location as a tavern since 1993, transitioning to a brewpub in 1996. Our name came from the New Old Lompoc House, a well-known establishment in Portland in the 1950s & 60s (named after a location in the movie The Bank Dick). In 2000, brewer Jerry Fechter purchased the space and reopened it as the New Old Lompoc, which operated as a brewery/brewpub until 2012, when it was razed to make room for a mixed-use building with ground floor retail. In 2013, we reopened as the Lompoc Tavern in the exact same location, retaining the funky, familiar NOL feel in a squeaky clean new space. We’re said to offer some of the best pub food in Portland, and we’ve always got a soccer game on the screen. Remember: Drink Local. Drink Lompoc!
