Stay Safe

In Oregon, a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle, and the same Oregon road laws apply. Please “be seen” and practice safe riding. Vehicle traffic, farm equipment and narrow shoulders exist on many Oregon roads, and you may find that construction projects, traffic or other events may cause road conditions or signage to differ from the map results, ride descriptions and directions. For travel options plus weather and road conditions, visit, call 511 (in Oregon only), 800.977.6368 or 503.588.2941. Routes listed on this website are for informational purposes and intended as a reference guide only.

The Roads2 Travel Company invites you to "Passing through Pendleton" road trip adventures. Just stop for the night, enjoy the following day and then head on down the road. With a different adventure offered daily – from historic and iconic Pendleton, to local wine and cider, to learning about sustainable agriculture and energy to exploring Eastern Oregon’s heritage trails and wildlife and enjoying all that is “Made in Pendleton” – there is adventure to be found for everyone!

Come experience the legendary Pendleton Round-Up Rodeo, watch a Pendleton Woolen Mills blanket being made, say hello to iconic Hamley's Store known as the maker of the “finest saddles man could ride”, check out the “rowdy past” Underground Tour and step back in time at Mayson’s Old-Fashioned General Store. Don’t forget to stop in to Pendleton’s oldest, continuously operated Rainbow Café bar and restaurant – serving up hospitality and down home cooking since 1883!

While you are there, be sure to immerse yourself in history and culture at the Whitman Mission, the Tamastslikt Cultural Institute and the Frazier Farmstead Museum. Soar with the SAGE Center in a hot-air balloon ride or swing by the sustainable Threemile Canyon Farms and see how they manage 25,000 dairy cows in a way that is environmentally sound. Keep your eyes peeled for eagles, owls, wild horses, deer, elk, wolves and other Eastern Oregon wildlife.

After an exciting day of history, wildlife, culture and cuisine, quench your thirst with a cider from the Blue Mountain Cider Company or sample a flight of world-class wine at Watermill Winery.

With Roads2 Travel as your guide, you'll be sure to enjoy genuine, western hospitality!
