Directions

Highway 101 and Crown Camp Road. Take the bridge east on Crown Camp to start the ride. Follow Crown Camp / Lewis & Clark Road all the way to Astoria, then turn onto Highway 202. At Olney, turn onto Youngs River Road and follow it around the bottom of the bay, turning left onto Tucker Creek Lane. Turn left onto Logan Road to cut over to Lewis & Clark and then back  to the start.

What I love about this ride

After climbing over the one large hill from Seaside, the ride drops down into an extended valley of farms, rivers and coastal estuary. Road surfaces are mostly good, with the exception of a small part of Youngs River Road. Traffic is light overall. This is one of the very few longer north coast rides that is off Highway 101. Highly recommended is a mid-ride stop at the Olney Store for snacks and bathroom.

Traffic is light on all roads except State Highway 202, which has moderately low traffic.
