  • Region:
    Central Oregon, Willamette Valley
  • Nearby Cities:
    Sisters, McKenzie Bridge

Highlights: A huge ride with two large climbs and two long fast descents. Great views, old growth forest and a lot of pride in being able to do a ride like this.

Route: From Sisters, head west on Highway 242 up McKenzie Pass, descend the west side to McKenzie Bridge, go east on Highway 126 a mile or so to Belknap Hot Springs Resort to grab some water and then turn around and re-trace your route.

Note: The climb back up from McKenzie Bridge to McKenzie Pass starts at 1,650’ and tops out at 5,325’! Traffic can be heavy, if not fast, as this is a popular scenic drive. The only water on this ride is at Belknap Springs or McKenzie Bridge.

Motorized Vehicle Traffic: Heavy on the highways

Seasons: Spring – fall
