Trailhead: From Hood River, head south on Hwy. 35 for just over 33 miles and take the Mt. Hood Meadows exit at Bennett Pass. Turn left (east) onto Bennett Pass Road (Road 3550) and park in the large lot just after passing over Hwy. 35.

Highlights: Expect great views, lots of wildflowers and some fun descending.

Note: Though this ride is aerobically strenuous, technically it is not too difficult.  The route is always wide enough to provide several “lines.”  Ride from Bennett Pass to the turn around/viewpoint at mile 9.7.  (An additional 1.0 mile of optional, steep climbing will bring you to High Prairie and a fun hike up to Lookout Mountain.)

Seasons: Mid-summer through fall
