This area offers multiple trail systems, featuring three main trails with about three miles of riding per trail. The system includes beginner, intermediate and advanced free-ride features, but is rideable by any type of mountain biker. There is also a basic training/skills area with samples of the skill items you’ll find throughout the trail system.

Trailhead: The trailhead is three miles west of Falls City (southwest of Dallas). Parking is at the edge of Camp Tapawingo on Socialist Valley Road. Once in Falls City, head through town and at the bridge turn right and follow the Black Rock Trails signs. Park at the edge of the camp but DO NOT drive and park past the camp archway. Unload and ride up Socialist Valley Road through the camp (PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD). The basic training area is approximately one mile from the parking area.

  1. Amazing freeride/downhill trails. Great build quality and the trails flow very well. I recently fell in love with the “Brake Check” line and can’t wait to go back. If you’re into freeride/downhill mountain biking then these trails are for you.

  2. I’ve been riding there since fall of 03 and it just keeps getting better.

  3. Black Rock has the best trails in Oregon, ride there almost every week.

  4. If you freeride Black Rock is a must. Great job BRMBA. For lodging stay at the Falls City Inn I stayed at the RV park and it was an adventure. After riding go have a beer and eat some delicious food at Venti’s in Salem. Dino the owner is a really cool dude who also works on the trails at Black Rock.
