Trailhead: Smith Rock State Park. Head 22 miles north of Bend on Highway 97 through Redmond and on to Terrebonne. Go right on Smith Rock Road for 1 mile. At the bottom of the hill go left on Lambert Road; follow this approximately 1 mile and look for Crooked River Dr. and signs to the park. Park in the day-use area and pay a $3 fee.

Highlights: Beautiful scenery and high desert landscape. Whether you are climbing nearby or just looking for a good fall or spring ride, this area is the ticket.
