This trail offers gorgeous scenery and the opportunity to see wildlife. It is relaxing and offers a destination midway should you decide to stop in Butteville. The best time of year for this trail is late spring to early fall, as to avoid the rain.

The trail begins at Champoeg State Park and parallels the Willamette River for the majority of the ride. The ride is mostly shaded by trees, and at the end you have the option of continuing down to the Butteville General Store for a snack or lunch, or returning back to the park the way you came. This trail is perfect for families with children.
