Fanno Creek Greenway Trail
Trailhead Elevation: 109 ft
The Fanno Creek Greenway Trail corridor weaves gracefully through five cities and two counties. On its way to becoming one of the premier urban greenway trails in the Portland metropolitan region, this 15-mile corridor is a neighborhood dream long in the making. The recreational and commuter trail takes people from the shores of the Willamette River in Southwest Portland to the confluence of Fanno Creek and the Tualatin River.
A multi-use trail for walkers, runners, bicyclists and trail enthusiasts of all ages, the trail is accessible to people with disabilities.
You can start from one of four trailheads or by neighborhood connections along Greenway and Fanno Creek Parks, and along the corridor between Vista Brook Park and the Garden Home Recreation Center. The trailheads are located at:
- Garden Home Recreation Center, located at the northwest corner of Garden Home Road and Oleson Road. Use the north parking lot to access the trail at the northeast corner of the lot.
- Vista Brook Park is south of Scholls Ferry Road on 88th Avenue and has a small parking lot at the entrance of the park. A path loops through the park and joins the main portion of the Fanno Creek Trail at the park’s southern border.
- The Fanno Creek Park /Denney Road trailhead is located at the north end of Fanno Creek Park, just west of Highway 217, on the south side of Denney Road. Bicycle parking is available at this location. Look for the big, green fish bike rack.
- The Fanno Farmhouse is located at 8405 SW Creekside Place in the Creekside Corporate Center. Parking is available during evenings and weekends on the south side of the farmhouse. A short trail leads west from the house, across Fanno Creek to the main Fanno Creek Greenway Trail.

This is an easy trail for anyone. Lots of people on the trail – lots of room for riding, walking, etc. Lots of turn around points. Highly recommend for beginners, kids through adults.
