Trailhead: Head 20 miles west of Portland on Hwy. 26 to Hwy. 6 (which forks off to the left). Take Hwy. 6 west approximately 16 miles toward Tillamook until the turn-off for Gales Creek Campground on the right. The trailhead is just before crossing the creek into Gales Creek Campground.

Highlights: Several ride options are possible using these trails. A fun one is to do an out & back on the Gales Creek Trail and then loop using the Storey Burn and Historic Hiking Trails.

Note: Trails can be very wet most of the year, which makes them much more difficult.  Expect some horse traffic on the Storey Burn Trail and on the Gales Creek Trail north of the Storey Burn junction.

Seasons: Spring, summer and fall

A detailed map of this trail and others nearby is available through Adventure Maps, an Oregon company, at local bike shops and outdoor retailers, as well as online at www.adventuremaps.net.
