This trail loop delivers great views of Mount Hood as well as the surrounding valleys. It features technical single-track, with lots of wildflowers in July. Note: Use caution when descending the Gumjuwac Trail #480, as it is steep and heavily traveled by other users.

Trailhead: From Hood River, head south on Highway 35 for approximately 27 miles. Park on the wide shoulder where Highway 35 crosses the East Fork of Hood River.  From there, you ride approximately 4 miles south on Highway 35 until you get to Bennett Pass Snopark where the trail takes off on Forest Service Road #3550 up to Gunsight Ridge.  You can also set a shuttle and depart directly from the Snopark.

Best Season: Mid-summer through fall
