The descent makes this a cross country rider’s dream downhill!

After the initial flat section in Shevlin Park, the trail heads up for 10 miles. The climb is not that bad, though – a nice easy, gradual climb to the top with no real technical areas. After 10.2 miles the trail hits a fire road and heads straight uphill in some double-track. This is a good turnaround point. After climbing 10 straight miles, the only thing to do is turn around and descend. This is what Bend mountain biking is all about! Smooth, tight, twisty single-track with no more climbing to be had until you reach your car. Watch those handlebars; some of trees are a real tight squeeze.

Just head west of Bend on Mt. Washington Drive, then take a right on Shevlin Park Road. The parking lot will be on the left-hand side. Head up the road from the parking lot and the trailhead will be on your right. You will be on the Shevlin Park Loop for the first 2.5 miles, then when the trails seems to split keep heading straight along Tumalo Creek. You will then take a hard right into a steep technical section. After that you will come to a sign where the trail splits; stay to the right to start the Mrazek Trail.
