This is the best beginner ride in the area – don’t forget the visit the fish hatchery!

A beautiful ride up the river to the Salmon Creek Falls. This flat trail runs right through town and includes a variety of local points of interest along the ride, including the fish hatchery and numerous swimming holes. There are no hills or obstacles, making it a perfect trail for new riders, but it’s gorgeous, and has enough challenging off-shoots to make it also great for extremely experienced riders. A straight round-trip is about 12 miles. For a harder option you can cross Salmon Creek Bridge for rolling hills with some technical patches. Gain some vertical with a trip up Dead Mountain then back on the Flat Creek Trail. A favorite trail that can offer something for all levels.
