Shellburg Freeride Area

Trailhead: Vehicle access is seasonal, open May 20-Nov 1. From Salem, head east on Hwy. 22 to Wagner Road on the left in Mehama. Take Wagner Road staying right approximately 2.5 miles until you reach a four-way intersection. Continue straight; Wagner Road will become Ayers Creek Road. Follow Ayers Creek Road approximately 1 mile and then turn left onto the AC-100 Road. Drive another 2.8 miles to the Shellburg Road. There is a yellow gate and informational sign at this intersection. Turn left from the AC-100 road onto Shellburg Road and drive a mile or so to gravel Road 700 on the right and the large parking area. Before May 20, follow directions for the Shellburg Creek Trails.

Highlights: A growing system of freeride trails with lots of fun ramps, log rides and jumps connected by single-track.
